Angelita Martinez
We can't get enough of the amazing colors, brushwork, and figural explorations of Angelita Martinez. She is creating a her own, new narrative for historical themes and figures.
Angelita Martinez is a Seattle artist, with a focus in painting and drawing. She attended the University of Montana, studying two dimensional work and became passionate about art language, styles, and movements. She and her family relocated to Seattle WA 2012. Angelita exhibits her work in Montana, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
Angelita Martinez works mainly in acrylic paint, color pencil, and ink. She mixes styles, color, timelines, cultures, or classic mythos/lore, to create a new appropriated story...with a teeny dash of ethereal interstellar flatulence. Diana the Huntress being a street skater dropping in. Diana riding a pimped out chariot ride. Tarot's The High Priestess, a pachuca not having it, taking a cigarette break from her mediator position in "The Middle Pillar." Angelita is slowly creating a collection of "Grit's Fairy Tales" maybe a series of "Angelita's Fable's" creating an anthology of "Classic Bullshit Mythology."
