Kareen Kalush, aka Lorisity, creates beautifully detailed illustrations of humans and wildlife. Her work nods to surrealism with her subjects often appearing at what appears to be the initial stages of a transformation. She currently lives and works in Israel.
She shared more thoughts on her work and process:
My artworks are a fusion of worlds, a surreal vision that walks the line between reality and my wildest imagination. I am heavily inspired by an inner fantasy world where nature, wildlife and femininity combine, creating a mysterious and ethereal piece. The passion behind my art stems from an overwhelming connectedness with nature, animals, and the admiration of the female spirit. What began as a passion project - born from love, became something I could not live without; and before I knew it, I was sharing my passion on a global scale, sharing my pieces with the world. Currently living in Israel - I live my life through my art, with every work telling a story of my own, through the lines on the page. Working with a mix of mediums, most of my pieces are created on paper and canvas; using pens, pencils, watercolor, and acrylic. Nothing brings me joy like knowing my art is being appreciated by people all around the world. Whether you are a business, a private collector or simply someone who loves my creations; knowing that my pieces bring joy, love and a little bit of magic into the lives of others, is honestly what keeps my dreams alive.
